Purpose:
At DASI, the Pre-Ship Expeditor expedites the movement of orders and parts between production areas (picking, inspection, quality, shipping) and sales pre-ship teams. The role is a key catalyst in enabling analysis of issues and to drive improvement to the fulfilment and pre ship process.
Key accountabilities:
- Manage requests from Sales and Pre-Ship to help deliver customer orders and save revenue that could be lost.
- Ensure production staff have the latest information in regard to the changes of an invoice that would require an update pick ticket. (AOG, Shipping Details), communicate the priorities among the parties.
- Assist with moving invoices into HOLD/DISCREPANCY status in order to process an order change (PN, QTY, STOCKLINE, etc).
- Expedite invoices that have become a higher priority (move them to the front of the line).
- Coordinate shipping instructions for orders that are currently in Waiting Pickup status.
- Determine root cause failure and help come up with corrective and preventative action.
- Maintain consistent achievement of delivery of orders in agreed processing times.
- Assist in the development of a tracking tool to track all requests in applicable categories in order to review monthly with department heads.
- Deliver customer satisfaction through the timely, efficient and accurate processing of inquiries, sales orders, expedite requests, web shop inquiries and other customer care activities in compliance with established procedures.
- Work proactively at all times ensuring orders are processed in accordance with the customer requirements and any issues are raised to the customer in a professional manner taking full accountability for your actions.
- Work collaboratively with teams and colleagues across the business to support the delivery of the business strategy.

Experience and qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years Inventory Management knowledge.
- Minimum 2 Years Customer Service experience.
