The Opportunity 
Due to recent internal promotion, we are seeking a Presales Consultant to join our Software & Professional Services team in Brisbane, QLD.  

This is a hybrid role offering a unique blend of business consulting, solution design and customer engagement. Working alongside sales, solution specialists and delivery teams, you will help customers identify opportunities, solve business challenges and develop tailored Managed Services solutions that meet client needs and drive long-term value.

As Pre-Sales Consultant, you will act as a trusted advisor to our customers, leading discovery engagements, facilitating stakeholder workshops, analysing business processes, and developing solution recommendations that align operational needs with strategic objectives. You will work across a diverse range of industries including government, education, healthcare, utilities and commercial organisations.

This role is ideal for an experienced Business Analyst, Consultant, Service Delivery professional or Presales specialist who enjoys working across both customer-facing and technical environments, solving complex problems, influencing decision-making and working closely with customers to deliver meaningful business outcomes.  

Key Responsibilities 
• Partner with sales, technical specialists, and delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions align with customer objectives and operational requirements. 
• Lead business discovery activities, stakeholder interviews, requirements workshops, and process mapping sessions to identify customer needs and opportunities for improvement. 
• Design and present solution recommendations that translate technical concepts into clear business value for customers and stakeholders 
• Support tender responses, RFPs, RFIs, and customer presentations by providing business analysis and solution expertise. 
• Collaborate with delivery and implementation teams to translate solution designs into actionable artefacts and provide technical guidance.  
• Define, document, and communicate clear solution scope, timelines, and project milestones to both internal stakeholders and customers.

Skills, & Qualifications  
We recognise that great consultants come from a variety of backgrounds. You may have experience in presales, business analysis, consulting or service delivery.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: 
• 3-5 years' experience as a Business Analyst, Service Delivery Lead, Business Consultant, or similar role within technology, managed services or professional services. 
• Strong analytical capability, with attention to detail and the ability to interpret data, evaluate solution options, and provide commercially sound recommendations (including P&L awareness).  
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel; with exposure to Power BI and/or Power Apps advantageous 
• Proven consultative approach, with the ability to gather and document business and technical requirements, and act as a trusted advisor/SME in customer engagements.  
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of translating technical concepts into clear business language. 
• Ability to manage priorities, solve problems proactively, and collaborate across local and virtual teams to deliver outcomes. 
• Exposure to managed services, document management, print services, workflow automation, or related business environments will be highly regarded.
