Essenial Duite & Responsibilites:
Maintain Large Book of Payable Carriers
- Generate payments to assigned carriers in a timely manner
- Manage Carrier statements and invoices.
- Establish and maintain a professional relationship with assigned carriers.
- Resolve, in a timely manner, discrepancies (premium and commission) between EPIC and carrier
- Follow established workflow when client pays carrier direct
- Analyze AP Report daily for carrier payment and clear Zero Rec items
- Analyze AP Report daily to identify old unpaid items and notify Account Executive
- Analyze AP Report daily to identify credit items that should be settled with assigned carriers
- Daily review of payments made during prior day against Bank Report sent by AR Team
- Coordinate with AR on the application of RP payments (Checks/ACH/WIRE) sent by carriers
- Maintain carrier vendor contact and banking information, with updates made on team payable list.
- Refer problems/obstacles to Manager at huddle or immediately if urgent
Resolution of billing discrepancies
- Coordinate with Account Executives to resolve billing discrepancies
- Provide Account Executives with payment history to carriers as requested
- Refer problems/obstacles to Manager at huddle or immediately if urgent
Resolution of bank reconciliation items
- Coordinate with Manager & Finance to resolve any bank rec items
Follow established workflow on NOC and Advanced Items
- Communicate with the AE and track items pending NOC
- Follow established workflow for Advanced Items and refer problems/obstacles to Manager at huddle or sooner if urgent.
Participate in morning huddle
- Provide update on pending items
- Introduce any new issues that need attention
- Share responsibility of dedicated AP team email address
Request new ACH/Wire templates for new carriers and as carrier information changes
Work toward achieving team and individual goals
Additional projects/tasks as provided by dept manager
PERSONAL AND ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Set priorities and manage workflow for self and support team to ensure all goals are met.
• Interact with others effectively using strong, clear communication skills, cooperating purposefully and providing information and guidance as needed to achieve the business, profitability and retention goals of EPIC.
• Stay informed regarding industry information.
• Project a professional image in action and appearance.
KEY COMPETENCIES:
• Excellent troubleshooting, decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to partner with others to deliver on objectives.
• Strong knowledge Microsoft Office programs to including Advanced Excel skills (VLookups are a must, Pivot Tables are a plus).
• Strong attention to detail, multi-tasking, assigning priority and time management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently both with and without direct supervision.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be able to commute to Jersey City, NY office.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum of 3-5 years of Insurance Premium payables experience required (Brokerage is a plus).
• College degree preferred but not required.
The national average salary for this role is $60,000 to $63,000 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
