Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Pre- Sales Technical Engineer with Linux & Kubernetes background. The candidate shall possess proven skill set, strong fundamental, and working experience in tailoring solution design, configure Build of Materials (BOM), perform Proof of Concept (POC) or demonstration, and as well as Technical Enablement to our valuable customers.
This talent shall possess a strong pre-sales skill but not limited to consultative or facilitative style, experienced in handling the complex technical requests, technical support from initial engagement until deal closure. Also provide technical advice and opinions to customer. We are also seeking this candidate who is ability in converse and present to customer and have good both in oral and written communication.
The Pre-Sales Technical Engineer required to play a good role as team player and exhibit the broad knowledge in product and technology, support vendor, sales and including technical certifications. This candidate shall practice bilateral communications, by listens and understands patiently to customer requirement and demonstrate the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct architecture evaluation, design, and analysis of customer environment to propose suitable solutions.
- Prepare Scope of Work (SoW) including proposed architecture and BOM for technical proposal.
- Provide technical sales advice/support for software solution including sizing, licensing, in-depth technical recommendation, troubleshooting, proof of concepts, demonstration, etc.
- Perform project assessment, consultative services when meeting with prospects.
- Work collectively with vendors, partners like System Integrator (SI) and end users when prospecting for business opportunities.
- Research and write the responses to technical sections of RFIs, RFPs and RFQs.
- Work collectively with internal Product Managers & Business Managers to design marketing programs / campaigns.
- Provide Pre-Sales technical leadership for the development and implementation of complex solutions and services.
- Proficient in presentations and communications to various levels of stakeholders and audiences is a must in this role.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering or equivalent.
- Required at least 5 years of relevant working experience in platform solution for Pre-Sales role.
- Experienced with modern and emerging technologies in any one of public cloud - AWS, Azure or GCP and as well as private cloud setup, container orchestration and management, automation and configuration management.
- Have experience and knowledge in DevSecOps and CI/CD environment would be added advantage.
- Minimum one of the following certifications is a plus:
- RCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator)
- CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator
- Red Hat OpenShift : Containers & Kubernetes (DO180)
- Good knowledge in Kubernetes and Linux Operating System.
- Basic understand in Database concept and experienced in deployment of common DBs like MySQL , PostgreSQL or EBD will be highly considerable.
- Excellent communication skill.
- Ability to collaborate closely with Go-To-Market teams from technical aspects to ensure deal closure successfully and increase the business revenues.
- Fast learner, proactive, positive mindset and attitude, and as well as to play as an effective team player.
- Has good communication and presentation skills to effectively collaborate and communicate with both internal and external contacts.
- A self-starter who delivers high performance and quality work by adapting to challenges, either on their own or as part of a team.
- Ability to work independently with a methodical approach, combined with aggressive and curiosity mindset.
