Title: Pre-sales Engineer
Location: Mexico City, Mexico or Sao Paulo
The Technical Sales Consultant's primary responsibility is to provide technical leadership to the sales account managers during complete cycle on sales opportunities. These pre-sales activities include but are not limited to:
Principal Accountabilities
- Creating and maintaining customer presentations and demos with clear value propositions.
- Developing and maintaining sales opportunities captured in the CRM(Salesforce) by working closely with marketing and sales.
- Activities including sales support, marketing event support, proposal support, study will be captured in the CRM
- Learning & development to upskill his core skill set and learn other solutions to expand scope is required.
- Developing opportunities working with sales (including partners) & marketing,
- Attending internal/external meetings and provide ideas and opinions to achieve the best solution for the Customer,
- Providing architecture, Software Bill of Materials and/or technical write-ups for proposal work,
- Work with Services team to establish Scope of work and estimates
- Providing product or solution training to internal team and external customer.
To perform above mentioned activities this role will involve working closely with key teams within AVEVA, including Marketing, Sales, Delivery, Customer Support, Business Units and R&D. This role will be responsible to identify, develop and maintain the best software solution to help customers to satisfy their business requirements and to solve their problems in a competitive environment. The role requires continual learning about new technology, industry trends, competitors’ information, so that they can clearly articulate our unique value proposition to our target customers.
With the main focus on our suite of Monitoring and Control products, specifically in Enterprise SCADA, also experience in the Mid-stream industry.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering/IT with experience in MES systems in the manufacturing space, operations management, information technology and interested in automation
- Ability to build long term, customer focused relationships is essential with solid, direct and related sales experience being highly advantageous
- Understanding of Cloud/SaaS and latest technologies.
- Sound commercial acumen enabling the TSC to propose an architecture/system optimally to meet the customer’s business needs
- Ability to communicate the differentiating elements in a simple yet convincing manner
- Technical engineering / application design or validation background and detailed understanding of relevant offer
- Ability and willingness to travel to customer locations as required (approx 45% travel)
- Competent communicator at all levels particularly C-level
- A good understanding of any of AVEVA’s main markets, CPG, MMM, WWW, Power, O&G, Infrastructure, Marine
- An ability to operate effectively as a member of a dynamic team within a matrixed organization, often working across multiple countries and time zones.
- Possesses excellent written and spoken Spanish and English skills - Portuguese is a plus
- Invests in own self-study related to industry, software and supporting technologies
