DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | About the role

We are looking for a skilled Pre-Sales Engineer to support technical sales efforts for cloud-based data protection and backup solutions. In this role, you will work closely with sales and partner teams to help position the value of our SaaS offerings, conduct product demonstrations, and support solution design through the sales cycle.

This role is ideal for channel partners and distributors looking to build strong pre-sales capabilities to support enterprise customers

This role will report to Techincal Manager

As the Pre sales engineer you will:

  • Support sales and account managers by qualifying technical requirements and guiding prospects through solution fit.
  • Deliver engaging product demonstrations and manage Proof-of-Concepts (POCs).
  • Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer environments and propose appropriate cloud backup and data protection solutions
  • Assist in responding to RFPs, proposals, and technical queries
  • Provide feedback to the product and sales teams based on field interactions
  • Stay updated on product releases, competitive landscape, and industry trends related to cloud backup, disaster recovery, and SaaS data security.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE | About you

The idea Pre-sales Engineer :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a  related field
  • 3–5+ years of experience in a Pre-Sales, Solutions Engineer, or Technical Consultant role.
  • Experience with data protection, backup & restore, endpoint protection, and ransomware recovery
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex solutions simply
  • Experience supporting or working with resellers, or system integrators is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with data protection vendors such as Juniper/ Cohesity, Veeam, Rubrik, Commvault, Acronis, etc., is a plus

Preferred Certifications

  • Cloud (AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals)
  • Backup/Data Protection certifications (vendor-specific or general)
  • IT infrastructure-related certifications (e.g., CompTIA, VMware
