Job Title: APAC Presales Consultant
Location: Bangalore

We are looking for a dynamic APAC Presales Consultant to join our team and drive presales activities across the APAC region. The ideal candidate will work closely with regional teams and vertical presales leaders, managing proposals, proactive pitches, competency-based solutions, and customer demos. This role requires a deep understanding of the AI, Automation, Cloud, Customer Experience, and Product Development domains and a strong ability to articulate our offerings across Healthcare & Life Sciences (HLS), Consumer, Industrial, Communications, and Software verticals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Presales Leadership & Coordination:
- Lead and support presales efforts across the APAC region, working closely with vertical-specific presales teams and regional sales teams to craft proposals and develop solution strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, vertical presales, competency centers, and delivery) to ensure alignment in solution pitches and customer engagement.
- Proposals & RFP Responses:
- Own the end-to-end presales process, from requirement analysis to proposal writing and delivery. Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and proactive pitches for customers across all major verticals.
- Manage the preparation and presentation of high-quality proposals that clearly articulate HARMAN’s offerings in AI, Automation, Cloud, Product Development, and Customer Experience.
- Proactive Pitching & Solution Development:
- Proactively identify new opportunities within key accounts and verticals, driving innovative solution ideas that align with customer needs.
- Work with internal teams to develop competency-driven pitches and deliver impactful demos that showcase the value of HARMAN’s offerings.
- Vertical Expertise & Account Research:
- Conduct in-depth research into target accounts across key verticals (HLS, Consumer, Industrial, Communications, Software) to understand client challenges and identify opportunities for engagement.
- Tailor proposals and solutions to address specific vertical needs, leveraging insights gained from account research and market trends.
- Demo & Solution Presentations:
- Design and deliver compelling demonstrations of AI, Automation, Cloud, and Customer Experience solutions, ensuring customers understand the value of our technology.
- Collaborate with the technical and delivery teams to create personalized demos for specific use cases relevant to the APAC market.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Competency Centers (AI/ML, Cloud, Automation, etc.) and Delivery Organizations to ensure proposed solutions are feasible, scalable, and align with delivery capabilities.
- Align closely with vertical presales teams to ensure solutions are industry-relevant and address customer-specific pain points.
- Market & Competitor Analysis:
- Stay updated on market trends, emerging technologies, and competitive offerings within the APAC region, particularly in the areas of AI, Automation, Cloud, and Product Development.
- Use this knowledge to strengthen proposals and highlight differentiators that give HARMAN a competitive edge in the market.
Experience Requirements:
- Presales & Solutioning Expertise:
- 7-10 years of experience in a presales or solutioning role, preferably within a multi-vertical environment covering Healthcare, Consumer, Industrial, Communications, and Software sectors.
- Proven track record of managing end-to-end presales processes, from requirements gathering to proposal delivery, and driving successful pitches.
- Industry & Technical Knowledge:
- Deep knowledge of AI/ML, Automation, Cloud computing, and Customer Experience solutions and the ability to tailor offerings to meet industry-specific challenges.
- Experience in product development, engineering, and understanding of software development lifecycles is a plus.
- Cross-Vertical Experience:
- Ability to understand and cater to the unique needs of multiple verticals, such as Healthcare & Life Sciences (HLS), Consumer Products, Industrial Manufacturing, Communications, and Software.
- Strong understanding of how these verticals leverage emerging technologies for digital transformation and operational efficiency.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Exceptional Proposal Writing & Presentation:
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to develop compelling proposals, technical documentation, and client presentations.
- Experience in designing and delivering impactful demos that clearly showcase technical capabilities and business value.
- Proactive & Customer-Centric:
- Ability to proactively identify new opportunities and craft solutions that are customer-focused and drive long-term relationships.
- Strong customer engagement and relationship-building skills, capable of understanding and addressing client pain points effectively.
- Collaborative & Cross-Functional:
- Strong collaboration skills to work with regional sales teams, vertical presales experts, and delivery teams to develop aligned solutions.
- Ability to work across multiple functions and manage priorities in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.
- Analytical & Research Skills:
- Solid research skills to perform in-depth account analysis and market research, translating findings into actionable insights and tailored solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with core verticals (Healthcare, Consumer, Industrial, Communications, Software) is a plus.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with modern tech stacks, development frameworks, DevOps, and digital transformation strategies.
