The Pre-Owned Purchase & Payoff Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the pre-owned vehicle process, from acquisition to sale. This includes vehicle sourcing, reconditioning, pricing, marketing, and sales support.

Responsibilities

Vehicle Acquisition:

  • Source pre-owned vehicles through various channels, including trade-ins, auctions, and direct purchases.
  • Evaluate vehicle condition and determine appropriate purchase price.
  • Negotiate deals with sellers and ensure timely acquisition of vehicles.

Vehicle Reconditioning:

  • Oversee the vehicle reconditioning process, including cleaning, detailing, and mechanical repairs.
  • Coordinate with technicians and body shop to ensure timely and quality reconditioning.
  • Inspect reconditioned vehicles to verify quality standards.

Vehicle Pricing:

  • Research market trends and competitor pricing to determine optimal pricing for pre-owned vehicles.
  • Develop pricing strategies to maximize profitability.

Vehicle Marketing:

  • Create compelling vehicle listings for online and print advertising.
  • Manage online listings and ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Coordinate with marketing department to develop effective marketing campaigns.

Sales Support:

  • Provide sales team with product knowledge and support to facilitate sales.
  • Assist with customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Prepare necessary paperwork and documentation for vehicle sales.

Inventory Management:

  • Maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify opportunities to optimize stock.
  • Implement inventory control strategies to minimize losses.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrates a high “HQ” (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity.  
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in pre-owned sales or operations.
  • Strong understanding of automotive vehicles and their mechanical components.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and dealership management software.

Skills Required
