Overview
The role of the PR & Projects Manager is to work closely with the Marketing Director to strategize, develop, and implement an efficient and comprehensive PR plan aligned with business needs. Responsibilities include managing all relevant communications, stakeholder outreach and relationship management, content creation, and branding/PR events.
This position requires strategic thinking, a creative, positive, and honest attitude, strong team management skills (including proper reporting and team training), eagerness to learn, attention to detail, effective budget management, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Key Accountabilities
Public Relations
- Develop the annual and monthly editorial PR plans (print/digital) and manage the associated budget.
- Create opportunities and manage product placements in line with the product marketing calendar.
- Review and analyze media coverage, and report results to global counterparts.
- Manage sample and gifting orders, as well as distribution plans
- Build and maintain strong relationships with editors from key publications.
- Press Releases: Ensure article quality, manage distribution schedules, and monitor coverage results.
Event/Special Project planning & Execution
- Lead strategic planning and execution for events such as exhibitions, product presentations (to press, talents, and KOLs), store openings, and product launches.
- Develop and implement PR amplification strategies for each event.
- Manage external event agencies and collaborate with global teams.
- Lead special projects including native content initiatives and cross-functional brand activations.
Strategy & Planning
- Support the development and execution of annual strategies.
- Oversee monthly and weekly PR & Project task management.
- Support budget control and tracking; review and check monthly expenses.
Celebrity and Talent Endorsement
- Manage "Friend of the House" relationships and related executions.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stylists, VIPs, and talent management agencies.
- Proactively coordinate product placements across various categories.
- Identify and create new opportunities for product exposure.
- Manage KOL/Influencer relationships and develop new collaborations.
General
- Reporting: Consolidate event results and revise all event-related reports.
- Supervise agencies: Oversee execution, contracts, and negotiations.
- Lead agency bidding processes for required projects or events.
- Team Management: Develop team skills based on both team and individual needs.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration across departments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (4-year college graduate)
- Minimum of 12–15 years’ experience in PR, Communications, Event Management, Project Management, or a related field
- Experience in the retail industry
- Expertise in global luxury jewelry, watches, or high fashion brands
- Fluency in both written and spoken English
- Maturity and strong professionalism in cross-departmental interactions
- Proven experience in team management and staff supervision, with a leadership style that motivates and inspires
- Excellent problem-solving and pre-planning skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Appreciation and understanding of design and craftsmanship
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
