More about our mission and what we offer.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced PR professional with a passion for building brands, driving strategic communications, and leading with impact. In this regional senior role, you’ll be driving growth in some of our core markets including Netherlands, Belgium and collaborate with the EMEA Head of PR to support the region collaborating directly with the wider European Regional Leadership & Marketing teams. This role is based in our London office and reports to the EMEA Head of PR.

You'll be part of a global movement that is bringing transparency and irreversible positive change around the world. Opportunities are everywhere here - to try something new, to learn, to do meaningful and impactful work, and they're yours for the taking. There's no corporate nonsense and no old-fashioned hierarchy. Instead, we work in individually responsible and empowered teams where you'll get tons of guidance and support from your Lead and talented, super-smart colleagues from all over Wise.

What you'll do:

  • Market ownership: Take full strategic and operational ownership of Wise's PR efforts starting with the Netherlands and Belgium, directly shaping our brand narrative and driving measurable impact towards our mission.
  • Lead integrated creative campaigns: Plan and execute PR-led campaigns that drive brand fame and measurable business impact. Develop culturally relevant concepts for the markets you own in tandem with our local agency partners.
  • Develop regional frameworks and playbooks: Create communications frameworks, crisis protocols, and campaign playbooks alongside the team that markets can adopt. Document best practices and build systems that help the team scale effectively.
  • Manage agency partnerships: Directly oversee PR agency relationships in your markets, conducting performance reviews, optimising outputs, and ensuring ROI while providing strategic inputs to the Europe team on their respective agency relationships.
  • Partner cross-functionally: Work closely with Marketing, Brand, Product, and Regional Leadership teams to ensure communications efforts are aligned and reflect consistent brand voice. Provide comms counsel that shapes business strategy
  • Handle crisis and issues management: Lead rapid response communications during sensitive situations, coordinating with global teams and providing steady leadership under pressure.
  • Drive performance tracking: Manage and report on PR activities with clear metrics that demonstrate impact. Connect PR outcomes to business results and inform future planning with data-driven insights.

Qualifications

  • Leadership experience: You bring extensive experience in public relations, with a proven track record in leading communications strategy across more than one market. You've worked in-house at consumer tech or fintech companies where you've both set strategy and delivered excellent execution. You're comfortable working with C-suite and regional leadership, providing counsel that influences business decisions and you have the gravitas and judgment to be trusted as a proxy for the EMEA Head from time to time.
  • Tech/fintech sector expertise: You understand product launches, regulatory complexity, fast-paced environments, and how to translate technical concepts into simple, easy to understand and compelling narratives.
  • Strategic thinking with execution excellence: You can develop comprehensive communications strategies and roll up your sleeves to execute campaigns. You're not too senior to write a press release or brief an agency, but you're strategic enough to shape regional direction.
  • Quality standards and feedback: You can differentiate between excellent and good work, providing constructive feedback that elevates team output without bottlenecking workflow. You review quickly, give clear direction, and maintain high standards while being pragmatic about timelines.
  • Regional mindset: Europe experience is a must - you've worked across multiple markets and understand how to adapt strategies for local context.
  • Strong writing and communication skills: Crafting press releases, strategic briefs, campaign concepts, and leadership communications is second nature to you. You can distill complex information into compelling narratives and adapt tone for different audiences.
  • Crisis management experience: You can handle sensitive situations with composure, having experience managing issues in regulated or complex environments. You know how to protect brand integrity while navigating challenging situations.

It'll be ideal if you:

  • Have relevant experience in one or more of the following markets: Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain
  • You speak another language next to English – preferably French or Spanish
