We are now excited to invite applications for the role of PR Account Manager with our awesome Dentsu Creative Public Relations team in Sydney.


The role:

This role is for someone who loves the pace of the news cycle, knows how to turn a smart insight into a sharp media angle, and wants to work across brands with genuine public relevance.


You’ll work across corporate and consumer communications with a varied portfolio spanning automotive, education and financial services.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is media-hungry, commercially curious and confident working with data, experts and emerging issues to create stories journalists actually want.

Core responsibilities:

  • Drive day-to-day momentum across press office and campaign activity, keeping work moving, stakeholders informed and outputs consistently high quality.
  • Develop and pitch timely, relevant stories across motoring, lifestyle, education, economics, business, consumer trends and the wider news agenda.
  • Translate data, expert commentary, product news and complex issues into clear, credible and compelling media narratives.
  • Build strong relationships with journalists and proactively identify opportunities to insert clients into the right conversations at the right time.
  • Monitor the media landscape closely, spotting emerging issues, competitor activity and proactive angles that can create earned attention for clients.
  • Draft and review PR materials including media releases, pitches, briefing notes, media lists, coverage updates, reports and client communications.
  • Work closely with senior team members, junior team members and specialists across media, creative and strategy to deliver integrated, high-impact PR work.
  • Help manage timelines, WIPs, approvals and reporting so work is delivered with pace, accuracy and strong attention to detail.

A bit about you:

  • You have experience in a media relations-heavy PR role, ideally within an agency, corporate or government environment.
  • You understand what makes a strong media story and can confidently shape angles for different sectors, audiences and journalists.
  • You are comfortable working with data, trends, expert commentary and complex subject matter, and know how to turn it into clear, accessible communications.
  • You genuinely enjoy pitching, building media relationships and staying close to the news cycle.
  • You are organised, proactive and calm under pressure, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines across several clients.
  • You have strong writing skills, sharp attention to detail and the judgement to know when something is client-ready.
  • You enjoy working collaboratively with senior leads, junior team members and specialists across the broader agency.
  • You are curious, commercially aware and interested in the worlds your clients operate in — from automotive and education to credit, identity and fraud.
