Energy Department 

In this newly created department, the Energy Department is dedicated to managing and optimizing the energy resources required to power our data centers while promoting sustainability and efficiency. The Energy department plays a critical role in ensuring our operations are environmentally responsible, cost-effective, and resilient to energy market fluctuations. The team focuses on energy procurement, renewable energy integration, and the implementation of advanced energy management practices. 

Position Overview 

This role is fully remote in the US, travel is required (see Job Requirements)

Vantage is seeking a highly motivated, diligent, and hands-on Power Project Coordinator to manage the detailed planning, reporting, and support of our global onsite power initiatives. This role is critical in ensuring the successful development and execution of complex power projects that drive innovation in power delivery within our data centers. The Power Project Coordinator will collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure timely and efficient project completion, making a significant impact on our global operations. 

Essential Job Functions 

Project Planning and Scheduling: 

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, scopes of work, and budgets for onsite power solutions. 

  • Implement tools and processes to support the effective management and reporting of complex power projects. 

  • Create and distribute project updates, meeting minutes, and leadership reports to keep all stakeholders informed. 

Project Coordination and Management: 

  • Lead project meetings focused on the design and delivery of onsite power solutions. 

  • Coordinate with internal teams, including engineering, construction, development, and sales, to ensure alignment and clear communication on project progress. 

  • Handle vendor coordination, ensuring that they meet project timelines and deliverables. 

Vendor and Stakeholder Management: 

  • Manage relationships with power solution vendors, ensuring they deliver high-quality results in a timely manner. 

  • Initiate and participate in project meetings to discuss progress, address challenges, and drive vendor performance. 

  • Challenge vendors and internal teams to achieve the seemingly impossible by supporting the innovation of power delivery. 

Collaboration and Communication: 

  • Work closely with internal engineering and construction teams, as well as external vendors, to ensure the rapid execution of onsite power solutions. 

  • Coordinate the flow of information between all stakeholders, ensuring that project updates and results are communicated effectively. 

Reporting and Documentation: 

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and status reports. 

  • Provide regular updates to internal leadership on project progress, risks, and opportunities for improvement. 

Additional Duties: 

  • Handle additional duties as assigned by Management. 

 

Job Requirements 

Education: 

  • Bachelor of Business, Engineering, Project Management or related education or equivalent experience required. 

  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, design, construction, power generation. 

Experience: 

  • 3-8 years of experience in power generation, engineering, or data centers 

  • Power generation and Data Center experience is strongly preferred, but not required. 

  • Strong experience with engineering, engineering documents and process. 

Skills: 

  • Strong organizational and project management skills. 

  • Proficient at project management, handling vendors. 

  • Skilled at leading meetings, results, reporting updates, and budgets. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. 

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. 

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement. 

  • Positive and proactive attitude. 

  • Travel required is expected to be up to 10% but may increase over time as the business evolves.

Additional Details 

  • Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations) 

  • This position is eligible for company benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D, short and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program that includes company match, and many other additional voluntary benefits. 

  • Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
