This role is for an experienced Senior Microsoft Power Platform Developer to support the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise solutions for the U.S. Department of the Interior. These solutions will modernize how mission and business data are collected, managed, monitored, and reported across departmental programs and offices. The successful candidate will collaborate with federal customers, business stakeholders, solution architects, and cross-functional delivery teams to build secure, scalable, and user-centered solutions. The work will improve workflow automation, data quality, reporting, transparency, and operational decision-making across Department of the Interior programs.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and enhance Microsoft Power Platform solutions supporting Department of the Interior programs and business operations.
- Build and customize enterprise Model-Driven Apps using Microsoft Dataverse.
- Design Dataverse tables, relationships, security roles, business rules, forms, views, business process flows, and data-quality controls.
- Develop and maintain secure external-facing experiences using Microsoft Power Pages.
- Create Power BI semantic models, dashboards, reports, and visualizations for executive and operational users.
- Build Power Automate cloud flows for submissions, document routing, notifications, approvals, compliance activities, and other business processes.
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Azure services, REST APIs, and approved external systems.
- Implement sound application lifecycle management, source control, solution packaging, environment variables, connection references, and deployment pipelines.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, architects, and users to translate business needs into maintainable technical solutions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, sprint planning, peer reviews, demonstrations, testing, and release activities.
- Troubleshoot defects, optimize application and report performance, and provide production support.
- Create and maintain solution designs, configuration documentation, technical procedures, release notes, and knowledge-transfer materials.
- Apply federal security, privacy, records-management, accessibility, and governance requirements throughout the solution lifecycle.
- Mentor team members, promote reusable patterns, and contribute to Power Platform standards and development practices.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience delivering Microsoft Power Platform solutions.
- 3+ years building enterprise Model-Driven Apps and designing solutions on Microsoft Dataverse.
- 2+ years developing and supporting Power Pages sites.
- 3+ years creating Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, and data visualizations.
- Hands-on experience with Power Automate cloud flows, business process automation, and integration patterns.
- Experience integrating Power Platform applications with REST APIs, Microsoft 365 services, and external systems.
- Experience with solution-aware development, managed solutions, environment strategy, source control, and automated deployments.
- Experience working within Agile delivery teams and communicating directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Salaries for Senior Power Platform Developers at Planet Technologies range from $110,000 and $145,000.
