C.H. Robinson is seeking a Power Only Strategy Lead to join our Committed Asset team. In this role you will be responsible for building and executing C.H. Robinson’s Power Only (PO) strategy, operating model, and carrier ecosystem to unlock the Drop Trailer growth targets. This role will lead large-scale, complex, and cross‑functional initiatives that establish an enterprise-grade Power Only capability—enabling competitive Power+ solutioning, expanding carrier participation, and increasing our drop trailer win rate.
In this role you will partner closely with Product, Carrier, Enterprise Operations, Analytics, Tech and Commercial teams to ensure scalable program design, successful implementation, and measurable financial returns. The role requires enterprise initiative experience, strong change leadership, and the ability to build a net‑new capability with enterprise impact.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:
Strategic Buildout & Program Leadership
- Build the end‑to‑end Power Only strategy, standards, and operating model.
- Develop and execute a long‑term roadmap to expand PO supply reach, unlock market share, and scale efficiencies.
- Translate market insights into actionable program design.
Carrier Ecosystem Development
- Build and scale a Power Only carrier ecosystem including onboarding strategy, segmentation, value proposition, and cost‑basis alignment.
- Establish performance standards and operating rhythms tailored to each fleet size segment.
Cross‑Functional Solutioning
- Partner with Product, Tech, Committed, Pricing, and Enterprise Ops to build repeatable and competitive PO solutioning frameworks across the portfolio.
- Ensure PO capability integrates with Power+ trailer programs and technology to enable true asset-centric market-share unlock.
Program Governance & Execution
- Manage overall program timelines, milestones, and critical deliverables for all PO capability initiatives.
- Facilitate program‑related meetings, communication cadences, and business reviews with executive leadership.
- Act as the single point of accountability for Power Only program performance, execution, and stakeholder alignment.
Financial Impact & Performance Management
- Monitor, analyze, and communicate program performance.
- Identify cost‑basis improvements, profitability levers, and revenue unlocks tied to expanded PO capability.
- Build financial models and KPIs to measure capability growth, scalability, and return on investment.
Change Leadership
- Create and lead change plans that drive adoption and operationalization of Power Only capability across the enterprise.
- Serve as a change agent, educating internal teams on PO strategy, value, and execution requirements.
Risk Management
- Identify and mitigate risks including supply constraints, capability gaps, and competitive threats.
- Develop contingency plans and cross-functional escalation paths to protect program momentum.
Organizational Design
- Design and establish foundational strategies for future scalability.
- Indirectly lead and mentor cross-functional contributors and future PO team members.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing or executing complex programs or large-scale capability builds
- Ability to work flexible hours (some weekends/late hours may be required)
- Ability to travel up to 25% domestically
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Proven experience building or scaling supply‑side or carrier capability programs (transportation, logistics, fleet operations strongly preferred)
- Experience working in a continuous improvement environment
- Strong executive presence and experience delivering program communication at senior leadership levels
- Ability to manage ambiguity and deliver in a fast‑evolving environment
- Strong influencing, facilitation, and relationship‑building skills across technical, operational, and commercial teams
- Ability to analyze complex data sets, draw insights, and make data‑driven program decisions
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with lean methodologies and large-scale cross-functional program management
- Demonstrated ability to motivate change across a large, distributed organization

Compensation Range
$85,100.00 - $134,400.00The base pay range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for this specific location.
