Job Description Summary
The Post-Trade Services & Risk Associate monitors, manages & prevents risks within the clearing house & financial system. The incumbent provides positive input & direction to specific projects partially owned by the Clearing House & the Risk team. He/She manages risks through tolerance analysis, margin analysis & customer/product specific analysis. They work to prevent risk through communication between the Clearing House Risk Team Senior Management & Sr. Management staff.
Principle Accountabilities:
- Monitor daily clearing and settlement processes to ensure timely completion of clearing end of day cycle
- Responsible for Regulatory reporting of trades per Part 43/45 of DCO reporting regulations.
- Customer query support in APAC time zone for Post-Trade Services related questions.
- Perform risk management and monitoring of various system to ensure that all clearing members are meeting their margin requirements.
- Identify and escalate potential operational risk to management
- Develop and maintain relationships with clearing members and other stakeholders.
- Work closely with other departments including trade operation, risk management and technology to ensure that all the processes are functioning efficiently and effectively
- Participate in testing / DR testing and implementation of new system and processes related to clearing operations
- Prepare and maintain documentation/SOP of clearing processes
- Provide support to other areas of clearing house as needed
Skills and Qualification:
- Bachelor/Master’s degree in business, finance or in equivalent field
- 4 - 7 years of experience in operation preferably in a clearing or settlement environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of derivatives markets and financial instruments preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of Python, Tableau, R, VBA is a plus
Shift Timing: 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM IST (Tuesday to Saturday) , Subject to daylight saving adjustment.
