Job DescriptionThe POS Development Officer is responsible for driving the acquisition, deployment, and growth of Point-of-Sale (POS) terminals. The role involves identifying potential merchants, onboarding new customers, managing merchant relationships, monitoring POS performance, and achieving assigned business targets.
QualificationsKey Responsibilities
Identify and acquire new merchants and business customers for POS services.
Promote POS products, services, and value-added solutions to prospective customers.
Onboard and activate merchants in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective merchants.
Monitor POS usage, transaction volumes, and merchant performance.
Identify inactive terminals and develop strategies to improve utilization.
Resolve or escalate merchant issues relating to POS terminals and transactions.
Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and competitive trends.
Achieve assigned sales, activation, and transaction targets.
Prepare regular reports on merchant acquisition, POS deployment, and performance.
Ensure compliance with company policies, KYC requirements, and relevant regulatory standards.
Work closely with operations, customer service, and technical teams to resolve merchant concerns.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
1–3 years’ experience in sales, business development, fintech, banking, or POS operations.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
Good knowledge of POS/fintech products and payment solutions.
Target-driven, proactive, and customer-focused.
Ability to work independently and in the field.
Good reporting and basic analytical skills.
Skills Required
