About the vacancy

We seek a tech-savvy European Portuguese Translator/Editor to join the Marketing Department. You will be responsible for translating various types of content, including marketing (landing pages, emails, articles, creatives) and technical (guides, how-tos, technical specifications) materials. This position is not only about translation but also about attentiveness, consistency, and the development of international relations through language.

Main responsibilities:

• Translation: Accurately translate technical and marketing texts from English into European Portuguese, ensuring linguistic and contextual precision.
• Editing and proofreading: Review and refine your own translations to maintain the highest quality standards.
• Outsourced translation editing: Edit and improve translations completed by external resources, ensuring consistency and adherence to brand guidelines.
• Style guide and glossary management: Create, update, and manage style guides, glossaries, and termbases to ensure consistency across all translations.
• Peer review: Conduct peer reviews to provide constructive feedback and ensure the quality of translations within the team.

Requirements:

• Portuguese: Native-level fluency (C2), with an impeccable command of the language.
• English: Advanced fluency (C1) with excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
• Adaptability to varying workloads, with the ability to manage increased demands during peak periods.
• Demonstrated experience in written translation.
• Experience translating technical documents with accuracy and clarity. 
• Ability to efficiently process and manage large volumes of information.
• Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring high-quality and error-free translations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating smooth collaboration.
