The Portfolio Strategy & GIS Manager combines geospatial analytics, business intelligence, and commercial real estate strategy to support data-driven portfolio decisions. This role develops mapping, reporting, and analytics solutions; leads portfolio planning and location strategy; and translates complex business, market, and real estate data into clear, actionable recommendations for clients and account teams.

Job Description

Job Description Summary

As a Portfolio Strategy & GIS Manager, you will combine geospatial analytics with portfolio strategy to help account teams, business partners, transaction managers, and clients make better decisions across complex real estate portfolios. You will design, develop, and maintain mapping, data, analytics, and reporting solutions while also supporting portfolio planning, portfolio optimization, location strategy, real estate decision-making, and the development of client strategy documents, including Plans of Record (PORs), Practical Plans, and Business Unit Plans.

This role bridges GIS and location intelligence, business analytics, and portfolio strategy. You will work directly with business partners, transaction managers, brokers, account leaders, and client stakeholders to understand business needs, assess portfolio implications, and translate requirements into clear analysis, mapping, recommendations, and reusable solutions. The role requires someone who can move comfortably between technical delivery and client-facing strategic conversations.

The successful candidate combines strong GIS experience with commercial real estate judgment, business acumen, executive-ready communication, and a practical ability to turn complex information into actionable portfolio plans.

This role will primarily:

·         Develop and maintain geospatial, reporting, and analytics solutions that improve visibility into portfolio performance, business demand, market conditions, workplace trends, operational metrics, and business outcomes.

·         Prepare and contribute to client strategy documents, including Plans of Record (PORs), Practical Plans, Business Unit Plans, business reviews, portfolio plans, scenario assessments, and client-ready presentations that connect location intelligence with recommended actions.

·         Transform, validate, and manage data from multiple sources to support portfolio intelligence, strategy development, forecasting, scenario analysis, and decision support.

·         Partner with business partners, transaction managers, brokers, account teams, and client stakeholders to understand business requirements, portfolio priorities, timing, constraints, and decision criteria.

·         Support portfolio planning, location strategy, occupancy analysis, workplace strategy, and transaction decision-making through maps, scenarios, financial and market inputs, and clear strategic recommendations.

·         Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, standardization, and adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, while supporting the continued evolution of PAG's strategy, analytics, reporting, and geospatial capabilities.

Success in this role looks like:

·         Stakeholders trust the maps, data, analysis, and recommendations used to support business and real estate decisions.

·         Portfolio strategy and mapping are connected in a consistent, scalable process from business need through recommendation and execution planning.

·         Business partners, transaction managers, and account leaders receive clear, timely analysis and practical recommendations they can act on.

·         Analytics and geospatial solutions become integrated into standard account operations, Plans of Record, portfolio reviews, and decision-making.

·         Stakeholders use reporting, analytics, and geospatial solutions to support portfolio planning, occupancy strategy, location decisions, transaction priorities, operational performance, and workplace initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

·         Develop client-ready maps, dashboards, presentations, and reporting solutions that support portfolio performance, portfolio planning, workplace strategy, occupancy trends, operational efficiency, and service delivery using ArcGIS, Power BI, Looker, Tableau, or similar platforms.

·         Support the development and maintenance of client strategy documents, including Plans of Record (PORs), Practical Plans, Business Unit Plans, portfolio plans, site strategies, business cases, presentation materials, user training, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts.

·         Build and maintain data pipelines, transformation processes, and data models that support mapping, analytics, portfolio planning, and reporting solutions, with Databricks experience strongly preferred.

·         Integrate data from internal systems, client platforms, commercial real estate technologies, and external sources.

·         Develop and maintain ArcGIS Online environments, maps, dashboards, and geospatial data products that support location intelligence, market analysis, portfolio optimization, workplace planning, transaction strategy, and client decision-making.

·         Identify opportunities to automate repetitive reporting, data preparation, and operational processes.

·         Leverage AI-enabled tools to improve productivity, accelerate development, and enhance analytics capabilities.

·         Lead and support working sessions with business partners, transaction managers, brokers, account teams, and clients to understand business needs, test scenarios, align assumptions, and clarify portfolio priorities.

·         Synthesize technical, market, portfolio, and business information into concise recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive and client-facing stakeholders.

·         Support the development and maintenance of client strategy documents, including Plans of Record (PORs), Practical Plans, Business Unit Plans, portfolio plans, site strategies, business cases, presentation materials, user training, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts.
