As a Portfolio Associate on Stryker’s Upper Extremities Upstream Marketing team, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our growing Shoulder Arthroplasty implant portfolio. You’ll dive into market analysis, gather critical customer insights, assess industry trends, and help drive strategic initiatives that influence major business decisions. This role gives you direct exposure to executive‑level leaders and cross‑functional teams while contributing to projects that directly impact patient outcomes. You’ll gain hands‑on experience in new market exploration, product and R&D support, and commercialization planning within one of the industry’s most innovative divisions. WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Analyze competitors and their product positioning to help identify opportunities where Stryker can differentiate and strengthen its portfolio.
  • Collect Voice of Customer (VOC) insights by engaging with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to understand real clinical needs.
  • Track key performance metrics, prepare clear reports, and communicate insights to marketing and sales leadership.
  • Review business and sales trends to support demand forecasting and share recommendations with supply, planning, and production teams.
  • Develop a strong understanding of our product lines so you can communicate features, benefits, and value to internal partners.
  • Work closely with marketing managers to support product management activities such as roadmap discussions, project coordination, and prioritization.
  • Assist with financial modeling by helping build or update analyses that support pricing decisions, business cases, or new product opportunities.
  • Contribute to R&D design and instrumentation projects by providing customer insights, gathering user needs, and participating in cross‑functional discussions.
  • Research new market segments, customer groups, and growth opportunities to inform upstream product development strategies.
  • Support commercialization and training efforts, including sales education programs, launch preparations, and messaging alignment.

WHAT YOU NEED

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 0+ years of work experience

Preferred:

  • Degree in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering, Marketing, or related disciplines
  • At least a year of work experience supporting product development initiatives
  • Internship experience related to marketing, engineering (biomedical or mechanical), product development (R&D), or healthcare.

Travel Percentage: 30%
