Job Description:
What are your main responsibilities?
- Lead in-depth consumer & market insight (CMI) system, integrate market trends, channel dynamics and pet owner insights to formulate Royal Canin China’s mid-to-long term product strategy and key product line development initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with pillars to implement channel-specific product strategies and underpin the overall strategy of Royal Canin China.
Portfolio Strategy Management & Optimization
- Own end-to-end product portfolio strategy and management; continuously review and optimize portfolio based on market feedback, channel changes and consumer insights to improve product line efficiency and drive sustainable growth.
Consumer & Market Insight Management
- Establish and lead consumer and market insight mechanism, including consumer research, competitive analysis, trend tracking and data interpretation.
- Translate actionable insights into product strategy, portfolio decisions and innovation priorities, ensuring all product decisions are insight-driven.
Product Innovation
- Explore product and packaging innovation opportunities; collaborate with Global, APAC and cross-functional teams to drive localized innovation and process optimization.
Product Content Upgrade & Optimization
- Partner with cross-functional teams to upgrade product positioning and selling points, and develop compelling product marketing content to strengthen market competitiveness.
Cross-functional Collaboration & Execution
- Work closely with demand, supply, and other cross-functional teams to drive product strategy execution and continuous improvement.
Team Development
- Develop direct reports to build a strong talent pipeline and high-performance team.
- Cultivate cross-functional partnerships to enhance collaboration between central marketing and pillar marketing teams.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or above
- Experience: 10 years+ in marketing and innovation (Prefer Pet, FMCG, Infant, and nutrition background). Previous experience in regional/national strategic leadership roles preferred.
- Skills: Strong strategic thinking, Strategy building and deployment, analytical skills, and market insight. Excellent cross-functional and cross-level communication, influencing, and leadership skills. Fluent in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken.
- Other Requirement: Passion for pets and belief in Royal Canin's precise nutrition concept. Pet owner preferred.
