Portfolio Accountant

The Opportunity

We're seeking a highly motivated Property Accountant to manage a diverse mixed portfolio spanning retail and commercial properties. This role offers the opportunity to work with varied clients while developing your expertise in property accounting and financial management.

Key Responsibilities

Property & Lease Management

·         Maintain all property and lease information in MRI software

·         Assist in allocation of EFT rental payments from tenants

·         Prepare tenant outgoing recovery estimates

Financial Operations

·         Process journal entries and manage client remittances

·         Prepare monthly cash, accrual, budget, and forecast reports

·         Develop annual budgets and outgoings recovery schedules

·         Conduct GST and balance sheet reconciliations

·         Deliver month-end reporting

Stakeholder Management

·         Liaise with Property Managers and their teams on financial reporting matters

·         Coordinate with auditors when required

·         Ensure compliance with all Trust Accounting and Property Accounting policies and procedures, including client-specific requirements

·         Strong accounting background with solid knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting

·         Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

·         Ability to work independently, multi-task effectively, and manage competing deadlines

·         Professional approach to stakeholder management

Desirable Qualifications

·         Property accounting experience

·         Working knowledge of MRI software

Location & Working Arrangements

This position requires presence at both our client office in Bankstown and JLL's Sydney CBD office. The successful candidate will be responsible for commuting between these locations as required.
