Overview of the role:

We are seeking a meticulous Poker Quality Assurance Analyst with strong Poker knowledge to join our busy and dynamic team based in Bulgaria. The team’s primary goal is to be defect-preventive with the use of a risk-based approach to testing. Our ideal candidate would have expertise in quality assurance for digital graphics and experience in automation or AI-driven tools. The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of graphic assets across platforms, working closely with designers, developers, and product teams.

This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both, while recognising that quality time together is essential for keeping us mission-aligned.

What you’ll do:

Analysis and Planning

• Analyse project documentation to ensure a thorough understanding of business and technical requirements and, where necessary, work with partners to ensure completeness. Documentation may include business requirements, functional specifications, process flow diagrams and user stories, produced at varying levels of formality, dependent on risk and complexity.

• Collaborate with partners on production of test designs with constant review and feedback in readiness for delivery from development.

• Provide estimates of testing effort based on content, risk and experience.

• Collaborate with product managers and developers to derive logical sets of prioritised test suites, assessing resource requirements and timescales for test execution to ensure they can be run in the available project time.

• Identify the test conditions, then design and author relevant test scenarios and test cases which will effectively exercise the item under test, applicable to both new and existing product functionality.

• Ensure that test scenarios and test cases are written in a manner cognisant of automation requirements.

Testing

• Configure the test environments in readiness for the execution, and care for the integrity of the environment during execution, to ensure the validity of the test results.

• Implement the agreed set of test cases, ensuring clear and accurate reporting of test results and progress, following the Test Design and acceptance criteria.

• Perform thorough quality checks on digital graphics, including images, animations, and interactive elements.

• Verify bugs when fixes are committed to the affected environment and provide sign-off or remedial action recommendations on behalf of QA.

• Use automation tools or AI-based platforms to optimize and expedite the QA process.

You should be curious by nature, passionate about quality testing and willing to go the extra mile to find defects before our internal and external customers do. You should display strong analytical skills that, combined with domain and product knowledge, will guarantee the most efficient and effective planning. As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you will act as the quality advocate for our internal clients and the players, looking beyond simple Pass/Fail states to identify usability issues while also making recommendations for improvements.

You must be technically minded with great written and spoken communication skills, as well as the ability to work in an agile and collaborative manner.

Skills and Capabilities

Essential

• Experience with popular Poker variants such as Omaha & Texas Hold’em (more than a passing interest)

• Knowledge of Software Testing and Software Development

• Agile/Scrum development model awareness

Desirable

• Knowledge of JIRA and test management tools

• Experience with automation tools or AI technologies applied to QA (e.g., image recognition, script generation).

• Experience with testing of iOS and Android mobile web and applications (HTML5, JavaScript, and related web technologies)

• Knowledge of the online poker environment and industry, including the PokerStars application and others

• Experience with Automated Testing Tools and frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Cucumber, Gherkin syntax, Protractor, JavaScript)
