Responsible for providing safe, effective, evidence-based and comprehensive podiatry services. The employee will be responsible for assisting in the surgeries, prescribing orthotics and applying therapeutic treatments.
Responsibilities • Maintains sufficient inventory of material supplies and equipment for performance of duties
• Reports shortage of materials to supervisor at the earliest convenience, ordering and approving replenishments when necessary
• Monitors and orders appropriate materials/equipment following discussion with senior
staff
• Assists in the budget depending on delegation of in section/department
• Provides all administrative work related to the daily operation of the podiatry department
• Participates in developing future strategies for the benefit of Hospital patients
• Assists in minor surgery, Diabetic wound management and assessment
• Participates in the Bio mechanical assessments and production of orthotic devices and patient treatments which includes Children’s Foot Health
• Compiles Record daily statistics regarding hours worked and consultations performed, and forward monthly to the rehabilitation Department Head
• Assists in the medication for topical use as per the podiatry pharmaceutical list agreed by the podiatry task force
• Assists in surgery procedures as requested.
• Manages and documents all patient contacts as required by the Medical Record Documentation policy, using the computer as appropriate.
• Ensuring compliance with all safety and quality control programs and procedures as applicable

• Ensure all documents and all interventions are in the appropriate format
• Ensures patient receives the highest standard nutrition services and care.
Experience :- Educational Qualification: Required:
• BSc or 3-year Certificate in Podiatry from an accredited program or equivalent.
• AND Current National license
Desired:
• MSc in relevant clinical field (will reduce 1 year from the required years of experience) Educational Qualification: Required:
