The Role

ECS is seeking a PMO Project Manager to work in our Fairfax, VA office.

Job Description:

This position is Hybrid, requiring two days of on site work located in our Corporate Headquarters in Fairfax, VA. It requires very minimal travel if any, and only if a contract calls for it, which is very rare. All travel would be short term.

The role of the PMO Project Implementation Manager is to see to the successful implementation of our cybersecurity services across our global commercial customer base. In this role you will carry yourself as a professional as you lead and coordinate project teams, manage stakeholders, and own the communication with the customer.

  • PMs lead and coordinate with cross-functional teams consisting of engineering, analysis, architecture, sales, PMO, and business support to deliver services.
  • They are assigned various projects simultaneously both internal projects and customer facing.
  • They are the face of the company and manage all customer and stakeholder communication and expectations.
  • They fill out project intake forms to capture all relevant project information such as resources, budgets, purchases, requirements and conduct kick-off meetings.
  • Work with technical resource managers to acquire the right workforce to deliver contracted services.
  • They identify, document, and manage a risk and issue registry, they are reporting weekly updates and mitigations to the director and customers.
  • They build work break down structures, make schedules, and keep the customers and teams informed of the plan.
  • They advocate for their customers project needs during two-week sprints to make sure work is assigned.
  • Forecast labor and non-labor expenses to manage cost, P&L, resource utilization, and conduct variance and trend analysis.
  • Serve as an on-call Incident Manager no more than one week a month, being available 24x7 by phone for any Major Incidents during off hours. Compensation is provided.
  • Conduct weekly meetings and reports for customers projects or operational work
  • Review and approve invoices for vendors, subs, and customers
  • Oversee tickets submitted for projects, their assignment, and timely completion, SLAs may apply.
  • To be part of a PMO, to contribute to its improvement, management, and provide backfill to other PMs when necessary.

As a PM in the PMO you will report to PMO leadership. You will be tasked with various projects as they come in to implement them and turn them over to Customer Success Managers. You will be expected to be knowledge in project management with experience in agile, specifically scrum. You will take lead of your projects advocating for their success and managing client, stakeholder, functional, communication, and communication up and down the chain to ensure alignment. You must be a self-starter, be looking for a culture of strong performers, and enjoy complex problems.

120,000 - Meeting the required skills by having 5 years of experience with a lesser certification or education degree

140,000 - Meeting the required skills by having more than 5 years of experience and holding higher level certifications or degrees in project management and cybersecurity, with desired skills.

  • Cybersecurity certifications or Education (CEH, SEC , CISSP, BS, MS etc.)
  • PM certifications or Education (Agile, Scrum, PMP, CAPM, etc.)

Desired Skills:

  • Experience working in a PMO
  • Experience with Service Now
