Job Summary

The Arena PLM Change Control Specialist (Junior) supports the execution of Engineering Change processes in the Arena PLM system. The role focuses on the preparation, coordination, and administrative processing of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), and Engineering Action Requests (EARs) under the guidance of senior team members.

This position works closely with Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure change records are complete, accurate, and compliant with internal procedures. It is well suited for an early-career professional looking to build expertise in PLM systems, change control, and regulated product development environments.

Essential Functions

  • Support the creation, processing, and maintenance of ECO, ECR, EAR, and Deviations records in the Arena PLM system.
  • Assist in coordinating change activities with cross functional stakeholders to ensure required inputs and approvals are obtained.
  • Perform initial completeness and format checks of change records and associated documentation (drawings, specifications, BOMs, forms).
  • Ensure correct document identification, numbering, revisioning, and attachment to change records according to established procedures.
  • Track change status, follow up on open actions, and support timely progression through the change workflow.
  • Maintain accurate electronic records and ensure data consistency within Arena PLM.
  • Support adherence to documented change control and document release procedures.
  • Provide first-level user support to internal stakeholders by answering basic questions related to Arena PLM and change control processes.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to PLM data quality and change management efficiency.
     

Note: This role does not carry full ownership of PLM system administration or process definition; these responsibilities remain with senior specialists and management.

Your Experience, Education, Skills and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, economics, life sciences, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 0–2 years of experience in document control, PLM, engineering support, quality, or a related role. Similar experience or internship is a big advantage.
  • Basic familiarity with change control concepts (ECO, ECR, deviations) is an advantage.
  • Experience with standard office tools (MS Excel, MS Word, Adobe Acrobat).
  • Very good spoken and written English. Communicative Czech language.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow defined procedures accurately.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks with guidance.
  • Willingness to learn PLM systems and regulated product development processes.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate within cross functional teams.
  • Eligible to work legally in Czech republic.
  • Willingness to travel within Czech republic and Germany (cca 10% of annual work time).

Preferred / Nice to Have

  • Exposure to Arena PLM or another PLM system.
  • Experience in a regulated environment (medical devices, automotive, aerospace, or similar).
  • Basic understanding of BOMs, drawings, and engineering documentation.
