This is a fully remote role within the United States.
Turquoise is growing its Platform Engineering function, and we're looking for a Platform Operations Engineer to join the team. You'll help build and operate the infrastructure that supports real-world healthcare outcomes, working alongside experienced engineers to establish solid practices around observability, reliability, deployment, and scalability.
This is a strong fit if you have a few years of SRE or DevOps experience under your belt and are looking to deepen your skills, take on more responsibility, and help shape how the team's practices and tooling evolve. You'll have real input into decisions, room to bring ideas to the table, and support from experienced engineers as you grow.
Responsibilities:Support the Platform Infrastructure - Help manage our container environment on Amazon EKS, work with GitOps workflows using ArgoCD, and maintain CI/CD pipelines through GitHub Actions to keep deployments fast, consistent, and automated.
Contribute to Reliability - Help track SLIs and SLOs, participate in on-call rotations and incident response, and support root cause analysis, post-mortems, and disaster recovery planning.
Support Observability - Help maintain our monitoring and logging stack using Datadog, Sentry, and CloudWatch, giving engineering teams visibility into system health and performance.
Grow with the Platform - Collaborate with the team on infrastructure decisions, help build internal tooling and self-service workflows, and develop your skills as the platform scales.
3+ years experience in SRE, DevOps, or Cloud Infrastructure roles
Working knowledge of core AWS services (VPC, IAM, EKS, RDS) and a solid understanding of cloud networking and security fundamentals.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Crossplane.
Comfortable using GitHub and GitHub Actions as part of a CI/CD and automation pipeline, not just for source control.
Exposure to running Kubernetes clusters and managing application deployments through GitOps workflows (ArgoCD/Flux) and Helm Charts.
Familiarity with observability tooling such as Datadog, Sentry, CloudWatch, or Grafana, including building alerts, dashboards, or log pipelines.
Experience writing Python scripts to automate infrastructure tasks, glue systems together, or handle custom workflows.
Comfortable working independently in a remote setup, asking questions when needed, and keeping momentum without close supervision.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Happy to work with strong candidates with non-traditional educational backgrounds
Certifications: AWS, Kubernetes, or Terraform
Competitive pay with equity options
Stellar health care plan options (Medical, Dental & Vision), with FSA, DCFSA, & HSA options

What We Do
Our solutions are created to eliminate the financial complexity of healthcare. People work here because they deeply care about making an impact within the healthcare revenue cycle. Our mission is to build a waste-free healthcare transaction—a cleaner, simpler interaction between providers, payers, and patients. We will leave the waste exhaust behind. We're here to replace ambiguity with clarity, fragmentation with standardization, and opacity with transparency. We believe the future is one where healthcare payments are predictable, explainable, and fast. Where a family can focus on healing instead of spreadsheets, and where "it depends" becomes the rare exception, not the operating system.
Why Work With Us
First things first is that we are a location agnostic company meaning you get paid the same salary no matter where you are based within the US. Aside from salary you're being paid to do impactful work with a kind, inclusive and empathetic team which we like to believe is unique as it gets.
