We’re hiring a Platform Messaging Engineer to join our Infrastructure Platform Services team at FNZ.
This new role focuses on keeping our messaging systems reliable, fast, and available. You’ll be part of a hands-on team that builds and supports the middleware services that keep data moving smoothly across our systems. It’s a technical role, working closely with both infrastructure and network engineers.
What you’ll be doing:
- Upgrade and manage RabbitMQ environments
- Support and maintain Biztalk, RabbitMQ. Added advantage if candidate knows Kafka or Itiviti Fix .
- Build and support high-availability setups across multiple data centres
- Help with system upgrades, ideally using blue-green deployment methods
- Contribute to both build (change) and run (support) tasks for all middleware products
- Automate BAU tasks, cronjobs , setup monitoring and alerting using Splunk, Nagios , New Relic etc.
- Know basic SQL queries to use SSMS.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Solid understanding of messaging systems like RabbitMQ , Biztalk etc.
- Familiarity with Apache Kafka or other middleware products.
- Understanding of clustering, high availability, and cross-site deployment
- Strong scripting or automation experience (PowerShell preferred)
- Comfortable working in Linux, Windows environments on prem and on cloud (Azure/AWS).
- A background in supporting large-scale, distributed infrastructure is helpful
