We're looking for a curious and detail-oriented Platform Engineering Lead who is eager to grow in the fintech space. About the Role

We're looking for a curious and detail-oriented Platform Engineering Lead who is eager to grow in the fintech space. If you have solid experience with cloud infrastructure, reliability engineering, and platform tooling and you want to own a real platform function from day one with a team that will help you level up this role is for you.

You'll be the technical owner of Blossom's platform scalability, observability, deployment automation, and operational reliability. This is a hands-on leadership role where your work directly enables the growth of new Credit Union deployments and the health of everything running in production.

What You'll Do

  • Own platform scalability, reliability, and observability across Blossom's cloud infrastructure.
  • Lead the adoption of multi-cluster architecture initiatives and tenant provisioning automation.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, environment automation, and internal operational tooling.
  • Design and operate the observability platform (monitoring, alerting, dashboards) to ensure full visibility into platform health.
  • Reduce operational risk and blast radius during incidents through proactive reliability engineering.
  • Drive the CI/CD Modernization Program and Platform Scalability and Reliability Program.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, DevOps, and Customer Success to support customer operational enablement.
  • Own architecture documentation and governance for operational systems.
  • Apply AI-assisted engineering practices to improve team productivity and platform operations.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in AWS cloud environments.
  • 5+ years in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Operations.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript for internal tooling and platform development.
  • Solid PostgreSQL administration and performance optimization skills.
  • Experience building observability platforms using Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, ECS, distributed systems, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
