Why This Role Matters:
We are seeking a Technical Platform Engineering Leader with exceptional Terraform, AWS skills, with a willingness to build out our DevSecOps foundations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing and managing AWS applications and platform at Enterprise scale, along with deep expertise with Terraform, and proven contributions to DevSecOps platforms. This role requires a product and services-centric mindset, strong architectural skills, and advanced engineering capabilities. Experience with AWS is essential, with additional exposure to GCP or Azure highly valued. The successful candidate will lead the delivery, operation, and continuous improvement of secure, scalable, and business-aligned multi-cloud solutions.
How You'll Contribute:
- Provide Technical leadership for the design, delivery, and management of Hosting and Developer Platform services, with a focus on operational excellence and reliability.
- Lead the development and implementation of multi-cloud infrastructure-as-code solutions, emphasizing Terraform and automation best practices.
- Develop DevSecOps platform (GitLab-centric) and expand/integrate our Developer Experience toolsets (Coder, Backstage, etc.)
- Define and own the ongoing Definition and Management of Hosting Platform services, with clear Metrics and SLAs to yield high availability, performance, and maintainability.
- Participate in Programs that involve migration, integration, and operationalization of applications across AWS, GCP, and Azure, optimizing for efficiency and resilience.
- Champion cloud security best practices and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards across all platforms.
- Mentor and develop team members in DevSecOps principles, Cloud technologies, infrastructure-as-code, and operational best practices.
- Stay current with emerging Engineering trends and assess their impact on strategic and operational objectives.
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in cloud platform engineering, architecture, and operational leadership.
- Deep expertise in enterprise-grade AWS architecture; Azure and GCP experience are a plus.
- Advanced proficiency with Terraform (or similar) for infrastructure automation.
- Strong knowledge of Cloud security and compliance measures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred/Additional Experience:
- Experience managing enterprise identity and network access services.
- Experience organizing Spotify model or embedded engineering teams at Enterprise scale.
- Familiarity with AI/ML implementations.
Compensation:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $225,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $245,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on factors such as market location, job-related skills, and experience.
