What you’ll do
Platform Engineer for Equifax Inc. in Alpharetta, GA to lead and oversee two to three software development teams, ensuring cohesion and alignment with overall project goals. Take accountability for the successful delivery of software projects, meeting timelines, and adhering to quality standards. Identify and eliminate obstacles hindering the productivity of software development teams. Foster a collaborative and innovative environment within the teams, encouraging effective communication and problem-solving. Work closely with Product to understand project requirements, expectations, and ensure they align with Commerce’s PVTV. Implement and refine project management processes to optimize team efficiency. Provide strategic direction and guidance to the teams, aligning their efforts with the broader organizational strategy. Conduct regular project status meetings, reporting on progress, addressing issues, and adjusting plans as necessary. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of software projects with broader business initiatives. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to continually enhance team performance and project delivery.
What experience you need
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Platform Engineer or related occupation with experience in programming and running production systems or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus three (3) years of experience as a Platform Engineer or related occupation with experience in programming and running production systems. Specific skills/other requirements – Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): Java, NoSQL, SQL, Microservices architecture, Spring, Docker, design patterns; cloud technologies: GCP or Azure; Continuous integration/delivery pipelines using Jenkins or Maven; Okta and Auth0 identity providers; implementing web application and API solutions using Spring framework and ReSTful services; Work effectively and cooperatively with senior management, customers, co-workers; Superior program management and organization skills.
