You provide software and application expertise and analysis to support implementation of the strategy and the solution.
How you will contribute
You will provide expert consultation for a specific software or application, leading on issues and resolutions, optimizing service delivery to meet business demands and the service operations strategy. To excel in this role, you will recommend steps to optimize investments and benefits and to mitigate risks for a specific application. In addition, you will identify suppliers, evaluate them, on-board new vendors, and oversee them, work with project resources to provide design collateral and to configure software components that are aligned with security policy and governance, ensure adherence configuration standards and processes, and share your knowledge of the technology with relevant stakeholders.

What you need to know about this position: The ServiceNow Solution Architect will be responsible for the enterprise-wide technical architecture, platform capabilities, and will drive standardization and best practices across the ServiceNow ecosystem. This role serves as the technical subject matter expert, providing guidance in platform development and advising on configurations and development standards.
You oversee the lifecycle of diverse, interdependent, cross-functional, multiple projects through a set of practices and a release plan. This includes disparate scope, resource dependencies, cross-project alignment, deployment planning, release execution, and transparent reporting of release results.

- Define and drive successful solution architecture strategy and standards
- Lead engagements as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on ServiceNow Establish and manage technical governance processes for development and admin teams
- Provide technical evaluation of demands for new applications and changes to existing applications
- Provide technical best practices, standards, and design support for complex projects & integrations
- Define solutions across the platform that align to out-of-the-box capabilities Work with internal and external stakeholders, analyzing business needs and defining technical solutions
- Provide architectural controls and security requirements to ensure the correct technical solutions are leveraged in the delivery of business solutions Participate in the delivery of ServiceNow-based projects, liaising with appropriate business stakeholders and vendor partners, providing support/guidance to development teams during analysis, development, and testing processes
- Create and maintain detailed view of existing architecture
- Contribute to the creation of product and capability roadmaps

- Identify areas of process improvement (efficiency and effectiveness) and recommend solutions detailing pros, cons, and risks
- Evaluate emerging technologies, industry, and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities
- Review HLDs/LLDs to ensure solutions are aligned to best practice and that cross-platform impacts/considerations are addressed
- Ensure appropriate cross-platform governance between tenants
- Accountable for ensuring ownership of foundation data (shared)
Education / Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 7+ years of ServiceNow Platform experience with an in-depth understanding of ServiceNow architecture (including scripting, platform configuration, design, and deployment)
- Experience with integrations (e.g., REST, SOAP, Integration Hub, and Store Apps) Experience with CMDB Health, Process, Governance, and integration with other ITSM modules in ServiceNow
- Experience with supervising and inspecting code migrations between instances, as well as providing feedback to technical resources on approaches to remediate assigned defects
- Proficient and knowledgeable of ServiceNow's Discovery platform
- Proficient and knowledgeable of ServiceNow's Common Service Model and Service Mapping techniques
- Proficient and knowledgeable of ServiceNow's HRSD and App Engine
- Proficient and knowledgeable of ServiceNow's IRM and Security Operations
- ITIL v3/v4
- ServiceNow Certified Administrator/Developer
