Job Description

We are seeking a Platform Architect – Kubernetes & .NET to lead the design and evolution of our cloud-native application platform. In this role, you will architect, build, and optimize scalable microservices solutions on Kubernetes using modern .NET technologies.

The internal National General job title used for this role is Architect Expert.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with software engineering, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to align platform capabilities with application needs.

  • Define standards and best practices for containerization, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.

  • Mentor development teams on cloud-native development, Kubernetes architecture, and .NET design patterns.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the application and infrastructure layers, ensuring platform stability.

  • Contribute to platform roadmap planning and architecture governance processes.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a platform or application architect role, driving technical vision and implementation.

  • 3+ years of production experience with Kubernetes, including deployment, configuration, and scaling.

  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture, Helm, ingress controllers, and service mesh technologies.

  • Strong knowledge of containerized microservices and cloud-native application design.

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Argo CD).

  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Bicep.

  • Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar.

  • Strong understanding of Azure cloud services (AWS or GCP experience is a plus).

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to influence without authority.

  • Experience modernizing legacy applications into microservices.

  • Exposure to cloud cost optimization and Kubernetes security best practices.

Education

• 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

Experience
