Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be an onsite Process Engineer at our Oakdale, CA facility. You will focus on improving full‑scale manufacturing performance through process stabilization, throughput optimization, and loss reduction. Your work will include detailed analyses of equipment and line performance, efforts to enhance mechanical and process reliability, and advancement of digital and data‑driven tools. You will also collaborate cross‑functionally to resolve complex production issues, support capital project planning and execution, and build technical capability within operations teams.
A Taste of Your Responsibilities
Execute bench‑top and pilot plant tests to validate formulations and processes.
Analyze trial data and deliver clear process recommendations.
Support commercial scale‑ups and troubleshooting in manufacturing plants.
Prepare and present technical results to cross‑functional partners collaborating with Operations, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and other partners.
Maintain accurate technical documentation and support Intellectual Property development.
Use technical knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic systems to improve equipment reliability.
Develop employee capabilities related to systems, standards, and technical understanding.
Foster a culture of technological transformation through the use and optimization of digital tools.
Analyze data across Key Performance Indicators to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities.
Lead problem‑solving activities with small groups using structured methodologies.
Manage small projects within the Conagra Performance System.
Ingredients Required for Your Success
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Food, Biological or related Engineering field.
Three or more years of related technical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with process documentation (P&IDs, mass/energy balances, control strategies, specifications).
Experience with processing equipment such as mixers, heat exchangers, homogenizers, cooling/freezing systems, sanitary or aseptic fillers, and CIP systems.
Understanding of Design of Experiment principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as MS Office Suite, PowerBI, and PowerApps.
Strong communication, prioritization, and structured problem‑solving skills.
Experience collaborating with vendors and external partners.
This is an onsite role based at our Oakdale, CA manufacturing facility with minimal travel.

Compensation
Pay Range:$63,000-$93,000The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
