Job Summary

Lead the various functions performed at the site. Maintain a safe work environment, manage the financial results; build and maintain an effective organization, protect/maintain the physical assets. Cost effectively meets customer expectations, function as part of a multi-plant manufacturing system.

Essential Functions

  • Manage / Reduce Costs. Meet/Exceed operating earnings budget.
  • Monitor Customer Satisfaction to generate revenue.
  • Overall responsibility for site food safety program.
  • Member of the site Food Safety Steering Team and the Site Recall team
  • Lead an effective safety process to reduce injuries and COMP costs.
  • Maintain Plant & equipment to meet Production requirements.
  • Build and lead an effective team to improve organizational effectiveness and conduct succession planning.
  • Engage in New Business development to increase revenue.
  • Lead effective “Environmental Process” to meet/exceed legal requirements.
  • Reducing labor component of cost while improving asset utilization.
  • Establish process control.
  • Improve effectiveness of safety process.
  • Build a corrective action process.
  • Fill team vacancies.
  • Build a Quality system.
  • Create an aggressive continuous improvement process.
  • Broaden responsibility/accountability of subordinates.

Job Qualifications

Required

  • Working with a Labor Union, Negotiate at least one (1) contract.
  • Broad Finance Background, Understand P/L, product costs.
  • Mechanical Aptitude.
  • Engineering Degree.
  • Effective Team Builder.
  • Excellent Communication Skills.
  • Willingness to Travel.

Preferred

  • Experience in the Packaging Industry.
  • Business Degree.
  • Engineering Degree.
  • Other Printing Technologies, (FLEXO).
  • Willingness to Consider Relocation.
  • Cup Manufacturing Experience.
  • Jobs to gain experience: Project Engineer, Leader of OPS Group of Progressively bigger size, Field Exposure, GM, Field Sales, Tech Service, Quality.
  • Leadership in a Manufacturing environment progressing to Mid-Size/Complex, for 10-15 years.
  • Experience in a customer driven environment “make to order” for 5-10 years.
  • Print offset 3-5 years.
  • Project Management, 5-10 years.
  • Demonstrated Ability to Manage Multiple Priorities, 10-15 years.

  • Accessibility of all worksites required for this position.
  • Exposure to weather and temperature extremes.
  • Exposure to darkness.
  • Exposure to loud noises.
  • Exposure to chemicals and fumes.
  • Exposure to dust.
  • Amount of overtime/extended work hours required.
