Job Description:

About the Role:

We are seeking a Plant Engineer to support our tea manufacturing operations, primarily based in Marietta, Georgia, with additional support for our Moorestown, New Jersey facility. This role is responsible for developing, planning, and executing capital projects that align with business priorities while improving operational efficiency, safety, and product quality across both locations.

In this role, you will partner with cross-functional teams including Operations, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Finance to deliver capital projects, support plant performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to lead impactful projects across multiple tea manufacturing sites while contributing to safety, sustainability, and operational excellence.

You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:

  • Plan, scope, gain approval for, and implement capital projects aligned with site priorities and master capital plans
  • Lead multiple projects ensuring on time and on budget delivery
  • Manage all aspects of capital projects including safety, scope, commissioning, qualification, verification, timeline, and budget tracking
  • Follow capital initiative management processes and maintain clear communication with stakeholders
  • Partner with sourcing teams to develop and execute procurement strategies for capital projects
  • Manage technical drawings and support document control processes
  • Provide onsite troubleshooting and technical support for critical operational issues
  • Lead root cause failure analysis and implement engineered solutions
  • Collaborate with site leadership and cross functional teams to deliver operational and strategic goals
  • Partner with central engineering teams on large scale projects and initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, environmental impact, food safety, and cost efficiency
  • Identify and implement solutions to improve equipment reliability, operational performance, and cost effectiveness
  • Develop business cases, project scopes, schedules, and cost estimates for capital planning

Important Details:

  • This is a full-time role based in Marietta, Georgia, with regular travel to support our Moorestown, New Jersey tea manufacturing facility.

You’ll fit right in if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required; electronics, controls, or mechanical degrees preferred
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a manufacturing environment with increasing scope and responsibility
  • Experience in consumer-packaged goods or food and beverage manufacturing preferred
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated problem solving and technical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma preferred
  • Familiarity with capital project management processes and tools
  • Experience working with computerized maintenance management systems AutoCAD with SAP experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required
  • Experience with computer aided design tools preferred
