JOB SUMMARY
The Plant Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance activities for their assigned plant. This role ensures the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of plant level financials and drives compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal governance policies.
The Plant Controller provides support for both corporate finance and the plant operations. This role also plays a key part in ensuring the plant follows proper financial controls, ensuring that the plant has accurate and transparent financial reporting to corporate. Working closely with the Corporate Controller and plant manager, the Plant Controller ensures that the plant’s financial measurements support sustainable growth and aligns with the company’s values of integrity and operational excellence.
This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality—reflecting Plaskolite’s core values of Integrity and Improvement.
ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the plant, in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
- Establish, maintain, and continuously improve plant level internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the reliability of financial information.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Controller to support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Ensure plant complies with all tax and regulatory filings (including ESG), partnering with internal and external stakeholders to maintain accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure plant financials are prepared in accordance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Support corporate initiatives to strengthen financial governance, risk mitigation, and adherence to Plaskolite’s compliance standards.
- Provide oversight of plant balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and key financial metrics to support decision-making and operational performance reviews with plant manager and Corporate Controller.
- Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to ensure proper accounting for plant manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, and cost of goods sold (COGS).
- Lead and mentor the plant accounting team, fostering professional growth, technical expertise, and alignment with company objectives.
- Support the Corporate Controller with financial analysis, reporting, and recommendations to support strategic decisions.
- Promote Plaskolite’s “One Plaskolite” culture through collaboration, integrity, transparency, and a commitment to operational excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, CPA preferred
- Minimum 7-10 years of relevant financial experience
Skils and Competencies:
- Technical accounting and financial reporting expertise
- Ability to work independently
- Understanding of compliance, risk management, and proper control requirements
