We are looking for a talented Plant Controller to join our team at Atmus Filtration Technologies.

Location: Koch Filter facility in KY, Louisville- Onsite

Travel: Less than 10%

Relocation may be provided to those that qualify and currently live within the US, Sponsorship for employment visa status will NOT be provided now or in the future.

 

As the main Finance Point of contact for the Plants, you will help lead financial control and accounting activities to ensure accurate and timely preparation, recording, transmissions, analysis, and communication of data necessary to control operations and achieve objectives for all plants under your direct supervision. Provide analysis, counsel, advice, and recommendations to help plant management make business decisions to reduce costs, improve profits and return on investment and to achieve goals and plans. Ensure the integrity of the financial information generated at the plant. Implement consistency and process improvements and spread financial knowledge to other members of the sales and operations teams.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the monthly financial close, with support from the Atmus Accounting and Finance teams
  • Analyzing monthly financial results for the full Income Statement and Balance Sheet for all Koch Filter plants, including calculation and validating the accuracy of key finance and plant metrics. Perform variance analysis / reports.
  • Review and Post all monthly Journal Entries
  • Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are performed and reviewed on a timely basis. Responsible for reviewing all key and subjective reserve accounts on at least a quarterly basis.
  • Prepare annual budgets, weekly outlooks and support daily Revenue/Productivity for the facilities.
  • Partner with sales organization and communicate/align updates on S&OP vs financial outlooks.
  • Work closely with engineering and procurement on the annual standards roll. 
  • Review and monitor cycle count process and physical inventories. Help analyze reports for variance problems, physical to book inventory variations, and takes corrective action.  Responsibility for the inventory reporting and maintenance of ERP product costing information. Understanding of the bill of material (BOM) and routings.
  • Assist in preparation/review of CAR financial justifications for plant capital projects. Track capital project spending, timing and cost impact against project plan, forecasts and budget to understand and report variances. Work with project managers to assure timely capitalization of equipment placed in use. Assist/perform sample CAR post audits to verify savings. Coordinates periodic fixed asset physical inventory per company policies.
  • Review payroll and labor analysis and ensure applicable payroll controls are in place.
  • Ensure adherence to Atmus Corporate accounting/internal control procedures, SOX compliance and reporting requirements for all plants.
  • Analyze plant operating costs in detail and partners with plant operation leaders to develop actions to increase profitability and enhance long-term return on investment.
  • Work with operations on driving plant continuous improvement initiatives for accuracy and Procurement on PPV savings and tracking.
  • Direct oversight of on-sight Senior Analyst, Senior Financial Analyst and remote Senior Analyst / Product Costing team members.
Qualifications
  • Major in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Microsoft suite, Oracle preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of internal controls and US GAAP accounting required. CPA preferred.
  • Outstanding ability to communicate, motivate and partner with business operation leaders. 

College, university, or equivalent degree in supply chain management or a related subject required plus 5 years of experience; This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Base salary range: $135,150 to $150,000/year.

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate. 

Compensation and Benefits 

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, other personal and professional benefits.
