We are looking for a new Planning Manager to join the MetLife Colombia team
What will you do in this role?
• Support annual budgeting and monthly reporting processes for the Country ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with local, regional and corporate objectives.
• Prepare and present financial results, variance analysis, key performance indicators, and business drivers to senior management and stakeholders.
• Partner with the Business Channels and Functional Areas to provide financial analysis, business insights, and recommendations to support strategic initiatives, operational efficiency, and profitability improvement.
• Contribute to strategic planning activities by providing financial insights and analysis to support long-term business objectives.
• Coordinate and consolidate the local submissions for various regional, corporate and external reporting requirements, such as earnings releases, board presentations, investor relations, and regulatory filings.
• Support continuous improvement and standardization of financial processes, systems, and tools across the region.
• Ensure compliance with MetLife's policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Analyze and manage costs across the organization to optimize resource allocation and improve profitability.
To help you succeed, you need...
• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or related field.
• At least 7 years of professional experience in financial, accounting, or actuarial areas.
• Relevant experience in financial in the insurance or financial services industry.
• Strong financial acumen, analytical skills, and business acumen.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, AI and financial systems.
• Possess agility needed to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and multicultural environment.
• Knowledge of technology and efficiency tools to enhance financial processes and reporting.
• Ability to handle a fluid and demanding work environment, with frequent and time sensitive requests from internal/external stakeholders.
• Role requires someone who demonstrates resilience, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
• Advanced level of oral and written English. Level >B2
And it will be a plus if you...
• Have prior experience working in US Multinational companies, the business, strategy, or finance functions.
• MBA or CPA preferred.
• Experience with Hyperion and AI tools, programming skills (e.g Python)
• Knowledge in US GAAP accounting
