We are seeking a detail oriented and analytical Planning Assistant to support planning operations through data analysis, reporting, demand and capacity planning activities, and coordination with internal stakeholders. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, proficiency in data management tools, and the ability to generate insights that support effective planning and operational decision making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support planning activities by preparing and maintaining planning schedules, reports, and operational data.
- Analyze planning related data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improved operational performance.
- Assist in demand, capacity, and resource planning processes to ensure smooth operational flow.
- Generate regular and ad-hoc reports to support planning and business decision making.
- Maintain and update planning information within SAP and other business systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely availability of planning information and accurate execution of plans.
- Monitor key planning metrics and highlight potential deviations from targets.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process enhancements through data analysis.
- Assist in dashboard development and visualization of planning data using reporting tools where applicable.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of planning data and reports.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Graduates or undergraduates in Physical Sciences, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Industrial Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in planning, operations, supply chain, or analytical role.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Hands on experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Knowledge of Power BI, Data Science, or data visualization tools will be a distinct advantage.
- Strong numerical and reporting capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Skills Required
- Degree (graduate or undergraduate) in Physical Sciences, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Industrial Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline
- Minimum 1 year of experience in planning, operations, supply chain, or analytical role
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
