We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our Internal Systems team, where you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining automation solutions that improve operational efficiency and streamline business processes. This role is ideal for someone with strong API integration, scripting, and systems engineering experience who enjoys transforming business requirements into scalable, secure, and reliable automation solutions.
Working closely with the Head of Internal Systems, Business Analysts, Service teams, and internal stakeholders, you will build integrations, optimise workflows, and reduce manual effort across the organisation while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Ideal ProfileExperience & Industry Background- 4+ years of experience in Automation Engineering, Systems Engineering, IT Administration, or a similar technical role with a strong focus on process improvement
- Experience working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or IT services environment
- Strong understanding of PSA/RMM platforms and scalable service delivery
- Ability to translate business processes into secure, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions
- Advanced PowerShell scripting experience
- Python development experience is highly regarded
- Strong hands-on experience with REST and SOAP APIs
- Experience working with webhooks, JSON/XML, HTTP methods, and structured payloads
- Experience designing and maintaining API integrations across multiple business systems
- Experience automating Microsoft 365 environments
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, and Microsoft Graph
- Experience with Microsoft Teams and Excel
- Exposure to Power Automate and Power BI is advantageous
- Experience with ConnectWise, Kaseya, Autotask, or similar PSA/RMM platforms
- Exposure to NetSuite, HubSpot, EOS, and PIA.ai is desirable
- Experience with documentation and version control tools such as Git or ITGlue
- Agile delivery experience working alongside Business Analysts and service teams is advantageous

- Design, develop, test, and maintain automated workflows and system integrations across internal business platforms
- Build automation solutions that reduce manual effort, eliminate duplication, and improve operational efficiency
- Configure and integrate PIA.ai with ConnectWise, Kaseya, PSA/RMM tools, and other business applications
- Develop scripts, APIs, and integrations using PowerShell, Python, REST APIs, Microsoft Graph, JSON/XML, and webhooks
- Integrate platforms including Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Autotask, NetSuite, HubSpot, EOS, and other third-party systems
- Ensure integrations are secure, scalable, auditable, and aligned with business requirements
- Develop reports and dashboards, including Power BI, to improve operational visibility and measure automation outcomes
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify and prioritise automation opportunities
- Drive continuous improvement by recommending enhancements to workflows and business processes
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for automation solutions and integrations
- Manage version control, logging, dependencies, and governance standards
- Troubleshoot automation and integration issues while ensuring ongoing system reliability and performance
- Partner with Business Analysts, Service teams, and internal stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Communicate project progress, risks, and outcomes effectively
- Support the adoption of automation best practices across the organisation

Skills Required
