The Planner II will lead strategic procurement, planning, and supply chain initiatives with a focus on improving efficiency, reducing costs, and aligning operations with organizational goals. This role drives cross-functional projects, manages supplier negotiations, and oversees compliance while implementing advanced planning and forecasting strategies.
Qualified candidates must be able to work an on-site schedule at our Chillicothe, MO facility.
Role Responsibilities:
Develops and executes procurement strategies to optimize vendor performance and cost-efficiency. Leads supplier negotiations, manages high-value contracts, and ensures supplier compliance with long-term goals.
Oversees advanced planning functions, including long-term demand forecasting and capacity planning. Leads planning for smaller sites and integrates their requirements into overall supply chain objectives.
Drives continuous improvement initiatives and mentors junior team members.
Works to achieve program, functional, and/or business targets within team with direct impact on departmental results

Communicates with employees both within and outside of the department on matters that require explanation, interpretation and/or advising; may communicate with external clients or partners depending upon the job function/organization
Responsible for making moderate improvements of programs, processes, procedures, or systems to contribute to the performance of the team

Requires advanced knowledge of department, typically obtained through advanced education and relevant experience (typically at least five years, including complex experience)

Minimum Qualifications:
HS Diploma or GED
2+ years of Planning and scheduling experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel to perform data analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel to perform data analysis and ad-hoc reports
Experience in lean manufacturing environment
Good communication skills and strong sense of teamwork
Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks effectively
