Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with mine plan execution and oversight nights/weekends
- Drill QAQC record keeping
- Shift Summary and reporting
- Operate dozers, front-end loaders, and other heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Build, maintain, and manage stockpiles of raw materials, aggregate, ore, or other production materials.
- Load haul trucks, hoppers, conveyors, or processing equipment as required.
- Monitor stockpile conditions and material blending to ensure product consistency and operational efficiency.
- Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections on assigned equipment.
- Report mechanical issues, equipment damage, or unsafe conditions promptly.
- Conduct routine housekeeping in work areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain awareness of surrounding equipment, personnel, and traffic patterns.
- Assist with general plant, yard, or site operations as needed.
- Complete required production logs, inspection forms, and operational reports accurately.
- Work effectively with supervisors, crusher control, maintenance personnel, and other operators to support operational goals.
- Highwall assessment and load quality
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to communicate clearly both written and verbal
- Previous experience operating dozers, loaders, or other heavy equipment required.
- Ability to operate equipment safely in varying terrain and weather conditions.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to identify equipment issues.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, rotating shifts, or holidays as needed.
- Maybe required to work rotating shifts in a 24/7/365 operation.
Physical Demands:
To be eligible for this position, an individual must possess the following requirements to perform the essential job functions:
- Ability to sit, stand, climb, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to safely enter and exit heavy equipment multiple times per shift.
- Ability to work in outdoor environments exposed to dust, noise, vibration, and changing weather conditions.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion
- Able to operate a telephone and mine phone/radio with sufficient voice and hearing to carry on a conversation for the purpose of communicating information, to management.
- Ability to hear sufficiently to distinguish various pitches of warning alarms.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds periodically.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s license and be able to operate a light vehicle.
