Job Description
What you get to do in this role:
Lead, organize, and manage business operations for the global Sales function, including handling executive-level special projects and working collaboratively and cross-functionally with other global functions and business teams. The global Sales function interacts with virtually every aspect of the company, with some members embedded within other teams.
The Director Quoting Operations role will be responsible to Lead, organize, and manage Quoting operations supporting the Global Sales and Sales Operations leaders. The individual will be responsible for managing the daily quoting volumes, putting efficient workflows in place to standardize global quoting process, and look at automation where possible to maximize company's productivity and performance. A director of operations must develop long-term operational strategies, work effectively in a highly matrixed organization structure with regional and global stakeholders to meet company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and drive operational aspects of the Quoting team focussing on seamless workflow management, documentation management, escalation management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Work directly with global sales leadership teams to drive special projects, organizational development, and strategy. Track KPIs and work with leadership team to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Work closely with the broader sales/sales Operation's leadership team and other ecosystem leadership to ensure alignment of strategies, objective and activities.
  • Ensure best practice implementation and operational excellence across entire quoting organization in shared Services.
  • Focus on scaling the shared services Quoting volumes consistently with a clear resiliency plan to provide round the clock support (24*5 & 24*7)
  • People development - Drive clear progression and succession plan for your managers and teams.
  • Improve the business processes for each department through analysis and collaboration
  • Establishing and implementing qualitative and quantitative metrics for measuring operational efficiency
  • Creating a safe environment for employees to perform their tasks
  • Supporting the Talent and HRBP teams in hiring employees to perform operational tasks
  • Overseeing and managing the performance of the operations team through training and appraisals


Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:

  • 15+ years relevant work experience; prior experience in operational roles, including Quoting Operations, Order Management, Deal Desk Operations and Sales Operations.
  • In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. supply chain, finance, customer service etc.) Ability to get your hands into the process and work through the specifics as needed.
  • Superb leadership and influencing skills; ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with various ecosystem teams
  • Excellent people management skills and experience; ability to build strong, diverse, high performing teams
  • Ability to motivate others, drive collaboration, teaming & resolve conflict between diverse stakeholder groups
  • Passion for and demonstrated success understanding and fulfilling internal or external customer needs; problem-solver, entrepreneurial mindset
  • Sharp business judgment, ability to see "big picture" and to prioritize
  • Executive presence, strong verbal and written communication
  • Ability to manage change and ambiguity with an action-orientation/drive - must thrive in a dynamic global environment
  • High energy, strong work ethic, disciplined execution skills, willingness to do whatever it takes to deliver results
  • Proven experience as Head of Operations or equivalent position
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
  • Outstanding communication and people skills
  • Knowledge of industry's legal rules and guidelines
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
