JOB PURPOSE
The Pipeline Engineer is responsible for the design, engineering, and technical monitoring of onshore pipelines, from the Detailled Engineering through construction and commissioning.
He/She ensure the technical, regulatory, and HSE compliance of the infrastructure, while respecting project deadlines, budgets, and requirements.
ACTIVITIES
Engineering
•Supervise pipeline studies (layout, sizing, material selection, corrosion protection...).
•Verify technical deliverables (design philosophies, calculation notes, technical specifications, MTO / datasheets, …).
•Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (ASME, DNV, ISO, local standards…).
Interfaces & coordination
•Coordinate interfaces with other disciplines (Civil engineering, Process engineering, Instrumentation, Construction).
•Participate in technical reviews and coordination meetings.
•Anticipate operational interfaces (clashes, scheduling conflicts) before and during the construction phase.
Construction
•Providing technical support during (manufacturing, transport, welding, installation, testing (hydrotest), commissioning...)
•Respond to technical clarifications and manage technical deviations.
•Participate in site inspections and technical audits.
Change management
•Analyze the technical impacts of the modifications (Method of Concept).
•Propose optimized and documented solutions.
•Contribute to the technical and economic justification of the changes.
•Prevent change orders and delays related to technical matters
ACCOUNTABILITIES
•Detailed Engineering documents reviewed and validated on time
•All technical matters related to the pipeline addressed
•Ensure that the pipeline is constructed according to project specification
•Ensure that all change on the pipeline design (if any) is technically justified and done in compliance with the project specification
HSE OBJECTIVES
•Lead by example: Adopt and demonstrate exemplary H3SE behavior,

•Familiarize self with Company's emergency procedures, carry out assigned responsibilities safely and report any incident, unsafe act, or operation.•Contribute to achieving the HSE objectives of the Project
•Support and enforce the HSE Project objectives and directives. Make safety suggestions, report any anomalies, unsafe acts or conditions observed.
Oil and gas pipeline design _ level 4
Good knowledge of pipeline international standards _ level 4
Corrosion, coatings, isolation _ level 3
Transversal and multi-cultural communication_ level 4
(Degree of mastery: 1: weak - 2: medium - 3: good - 4: excellent)
Professional Experience (number of years) : 10

Skills Required
- 10 years professional experience in pipeline engineering
- 10 years experience in project execution
- Strong expertise in oil and gas pipeline design
- Good knowledge of pipeline international standards (ASME, DNV, ISO)
- Knowledge of corrosion, coatings, and electrical isolation methods
- Transversal and multicultural communication skills
- Ability to verify technical deliverables and prepare technical specifications/MTO
- Experience providing technical support during manufacturing, welding, installation, testing, and commissioning
- Familiarity with HSE, emergency procedures, and anti-corruption/code of conduct enforcement
