Job Summary

To lead and oversee EHS planning, performance, and risk governance, ensuring seamless integration into business strategy, operations, compliance, and investment decisions to drive safe, sustainable, and value-focused outcomes

Qualifications & Experience Requirements

Minimum Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline (master’s degree preferred).

Required Professional Certifications / Accreditations / Registrations

  • NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO 14001/45001 Lead Auditor certification.

Minimum Years of Experience and Relevant Areas

  • Minimum of 14-16 years’ experience in EHS within the oil and gas industry, with strong exposure to upstream (E&P) operations.

Proven experience in:

  • EHS planning and performance management frameworks
  • Risk assessment methodologies and process safety management systems
  • Implementation and management of Integrated Management Systems (ISO standards)
  • Application of process safety regulations and industry standards (e.g., OSHA, API, ISO)
  • Regulatory compliance management and stakeholder engagement
  • EHS data analytics, reporting, and performance monitoring systems
  • Advanced qualification in EHS management (e.g. NEBOSH Diploma, Certified Safety Professional (CSP), ISO14001/45001 Lead Auditor, etc) is highly desirable

  • ISO Management Systems & Audits: Maintains ISO-aligned systems and ensures audit readiness.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Engagement: Ensures compliance and manages regulatory stakeholders.
  • Project EHS & ESG Integration: Embeds EHS and ESG into project and investment decisions.
  • Continuous Improvement & Assurance: Drives CAPA and system performance improvement.
  • Digital EHS Systems: Utilizes digital tools for tracking and reporting

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Environmental Science
  • Master's degree (preferred)
