Catalyx is seeking a Technical PI Developer to
support the administration, development, and technical configuration of a PI
System environment. This senior, hands-on role is ideal for a technically
strong professional with a software development mindset and experience working
with PI, equipment integrations, and GMP-regulated environments.
Responsibilities
· Serve as a senior technical developer for
the PI System, supporting administration, configuration, troubleshooting,
and development activities.
· Support the integration and onboarding of new
equipment and systems into the PI environment.
· Create, modify, and manage PI tags and
related configurations.
· Perform technical compatibility assessments for
new equipment, systems, and data sources.
· Work with laboratory and manufacturing equipment
to understand how data is generated, collected, and integrated into PI.
· Troubleshoot PI-related technical issues and
identify opportunities for system improvements.
· Collaborate with IT, engineering, laboratory,
manufacturing, and other technical stakeholders to ensure reliable data
collection and system integration.
· Support work within a GMP-regulated
environment, following applicable procedures, documentation requirements, and
validation practices.
· Assist with technical documentation, testing,
change control, and other activities associated with regulated system
implementations.
· Apply an understanding of networking
concepts to troubleshoot connectivity and integration issues between
equipment, systems, and PI.
· Participate in PI administration and development
activities, including configuration and ongoing system maintenance.
Requirements
· 5+ years of professional experience in technical,
software development, PI, automation, engineering, or related role.
· Hands-on experience with OSIsoft PI / AVEVA
PI System administration, development, configuration, or support.
· Strong technical and problem-solving skills with
the ability to get into the weeds of complex PI and equipment
integration issues.
· Experience working with PI tags, data
collection, interfaces/connectors, and system configuration.
· Understanding of fundamental networking
concepts and troubleshooting.
· Ability to work effectively in a GMP or
other regulated environment.
· Strong technical documentation and communication
skills.
· Ability to work cross-functionally with IT,
engineering, laboratory, and manufacturing teams.
