Position Summary: Provides comprehensive medical care to patients in various health conditions following established standards and practices. Demonstrates necessary skills and services to ensure a seamless, high-quality patient experience. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff, and physicians.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assessing and diagnosing patients, prescribing treatments and medications, and monitoring the patients’ progress
- Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests and explaining the results to patients.
- Collecting and maintaining patient information such as medical history, reports, and exam results
- Educating patients and their families about treatments and aftercare
- Collaborating with other medical professionals and departments
- Performing basic administrative tasks
Required Qualifications:
Education and Training:
- Medical degree and successful completion of a residency and fellowship (if applicable) in specialty
- License and certification to practice medicine and prescribe medication in the State of Illinois
- Physician must possess and maintain active board certification in specialty
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
