The Opportunity

Our practice provides physician extenders (APPs) who generate cases and support your production.

About the Role

Urology physicians/surgeons diagnose and treat injuries or illnesses related to this specialty. Physicians examine patients; take medical histories; prescribe medications; and order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests. They counsel patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare. Urology surgeons operate on patients to treat injuries medical conditions related to this specialty.

What You’ll be Doing

  • Take a patient’s medical history
  • Update charts and patient information to show current findings and treatments
  • Order tests for nurses or other healthcare staff to perform
  • Review test results to identify any abnormal findings
  • Recommend and design a plan of treatment
  • Address concerns or answer questions that patients have about their health and well-being
  • Help patients take care of their health by discussing topics such as proper nutrition and hygiene. In addition, surgeons operate on patients to treat urology injuries, diseases, or deformities.
  • May be asked to participate in development of Associated Medical Professionals policies and procedures.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

What We Expect from You

  • Hold Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) and valid license to practice medicine (Urology)
  • Have completed the required medical training and residency programs with proven experience of quality care to patients.
  • 5 plus years understanding and adherence to the accreditation related policies, procedures and protocols of the accredited practice including but not limited to patient rights, provision of care, infection control and record keeping.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have thorough knowledge in computer information systems.

This job operates in a professional office environment.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Travel
