Position Overview

The 30+ year company supports the petrochemical and manufacturing industry domestically and internationally and is

positioned along the Gulf Coast, providing training, occupational medicine, and innovative solutions to

industry. The Medical Provider works under the direct supervisor of the Regional Medical Director in evaluating and treating

patients. He or she may also assists in minor surgical procedures following occupational injuries.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough medical evaluations and provide appropriate treatment for patients, ensuring high standards of care.
  • Oversee the work of certified medical staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  • Participate in minor surgical procedures, including but not limited to joint injections, laceration suture repair, wound debridement, and eye foreign body removal.
  • Conduct medical examinations at various locations as needed.
  • Perform remote medical evaluations through telemedicine platform.
  • Support case management efforts by participating in calls and providing medical expertise.
  • Available for after-hour calls and visits to address urgent medical needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all state licensing agencies.
  • Take initiative in leading or assisting with new clinic projects, contributing to the growth and development o the clinic.
  • Engage in ongoing education and training programs to stay current with medical advancements and best practices.

Requirements

  • Must be a certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Strong proficiency in performing minor surgical procedures.
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Must be able to adapt to work in varied environments and learn detailed procedures.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and make effective decisions.
  • Cross-train and assist other departments as necessary.
  • Commitment to maintaining all required CME’s.
  • Can have no active investigations by the Texas Medical Board.
  • Requires an active DEA and DPS certificate with no restrictions on prescribing medications.
  • Holds a full and unrestricted license in Louisiana and Texas.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to read, talk or hear. The employee

frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle training equipment and tools, reach with hands and

arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 25

pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision,

depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Reporting Responsibilities
