The Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences at UMass Memorial Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our growing team. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative group of ophthalmologists and clinical staff dedicated to delivering exceptional patient-centered eye care across a broad spectrum of ophthalmic conditions.
The APP will play an integral role in supporting outpatient clinical operations, enhancing patient access, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality ophthalmic care in a fast-paced academic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities
- Conduct patient evaluations and obtain comprehensive medical histories
- Perform ophthalmic examinations and assessments under established protocols
- Perform intravenous fluorescein angiography (IVFA), including venipuncture, and contrast dye administration
- Assist with medication refills and patient triage
- Order and interpret diagnostic testing as appropriate
- Collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
- Massachusetts Medical License with national certification (NCCPA), DEA and CSR
- Prior ophthalmology experience preferred but not required (to be determined by department)
